According to NFL Insider Mike Garafolo, the Buffalo Bills are expected to hire Seattle Seahawks Pro Personnel Director Dan Morgan to their front office.

The Bills are expected to hire Dan Morgan as a high-ranking member of their front office, sources say. The former All-Pro Panthers LB is set to join longtime Panthers exec Brandon Beane in Buffalo. Fills the hole created when Brian Gaine left to become Texans GM.

Garafolo doesn’t specify what role or title Morgan is expected to take on. But as noted in his tweet, the team lost Vice President of Player Personnel Brian Gaine to the Houston Texans when he was hired to be their general manager in January.

Morgan has familiarity with Bills general manager Brandon Beane. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2001 NFL Draft out of Miami (FL) while Beane was working in the team’s football operations department. Morgan played in Carolina for the next seven seasons before being released and retiring prior to the 2008 season.

Morgan was hired as an intern by the Seahawks the following year and became a full-time scout in 2011. He was promoted to Assistant Pro Personnel Director in 2013, then took over the department in 2015, his role for the last two seasons.
