Pittsford, NY (WGR 550) - On Tuesday, Corey Coleman was limited in his first practice with the Bills. Sean McDermott wouldn’t say if Coleman will play Thursday against Carolina. Coleman said its fun coming to a new team, even though his first practice was in the rain, “I’m excited to be here, it’s a new opportunity for a fresh start.

“I always feel like I have something to prove, it’s a huge opportunity for me, I’m blessed to be here and I’m ready to rock with the Buffalo Bills.”

Coleman said he pretty much knew a trade was coming, but he didn’t want to get into it, “I want to focus on learning my playbook and I’m excited to be here and be part of this organization.”

Coleman has missed the whole spring and two weeks of camp. There are still four preseason games to learn what he needs to but the speedster knows he has his work cut out for him, “It’s difficult, but we’ve got great resources here, a lot of guys to help me, it’s a great group of guys here, I can just feel the vibe and we’re going to get it done, I’m going to do what I have to do.”

Things never went well for the former first-round pick in Cleveland. He said, “A lot of things don’t work out the way you’d want them to work out.

“I got much respect for my teammates and those guys in the locker-room over there in Cleveland are top notch guys and we had a great fan base in Cleveland too and I’m going to leave it at that.”

When things like that happen to somebody, they must learn from it. Coleman said, “What did I learn? It’s a business, but most importantly you have to do what’s best for you and that’s in life.”

Coleman met with Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott when he arrived on Monday he said he came away impressed, “I’m so excited to be here I can’t even explain. I love the coaching staff, I love our GM, I had a talk yesterday, they’ve got plans for me.

“It feels good to be wanted and I don’t want to let them down. They have their trust in me and I’m going to work my tail off to do everything that I need to do.”

The Bills will have a private walk through on Wednesday and then its preseason game number one Thursday against the Panthers.
