Phillips was brought in this preseason as an undrafted rookie free agent from Virginia Tech. Phillips was stashed onto the Bills practice squad after losing out to Foster for a spot on the 53-man roster.

Foster, also an undrafted rookie free agent, has been active for all 6 games for Buffalo this season. Seen as Buffalo's best deep threat, Foster has not had much impact on the stat sheet, with only 2 receptions for 30 yards on the season.
