Cole Beasley misses practice, Jordan Phillips returns

The Bills were back on the practice Thursday, and while one player returned to the field, another was absent and another went down with an injury.

Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, who missed Wednesday's practice with an illness, was back on the field Thursday. Cornerback Taron Johnson and wide receiver/returner Andre Roberts were still out. Roberts hasn't practiced in over a week and missed last week's game with a quad injury. Johnson injured his hamstring during the game and did not return.

Wide receiver Cole Beasley wasn't on the field, but no reason was given for his absence. The official injury update will come out later in the day.

During the open-media portion of practice, cornerback Levi Wallace went down during 1-on-1 drills and immediately grabbed his leg. He then got up to walk and hopped around a bit, before trainers came over to tend to him. It appeared they were working on his right lower leg or ankle area.

Running back Frank Gore received a veteran rest day.
