Gameday: Bills take off with an opening drive touchdown, lead the Jets 14-0

November 11, 2018 - 1:56 pm

Offensive ineptitude has been the name of the game for the Buffalo Bills. However, that hasn't been the case against the New York Jets.

The Bills hold a 14-0 lead on the Jets after the Bills scored on their opening drive for the second time this season and behind the arm of recently signed quarterback Matt Barkley. Barkley was 5-of-10 for 103 yards in the opening quarter for Buffalo, while LeSean McCoy ran for his first touchdown of the season on a 28-yard run on just the second play of the game. That opening drive took only 49 seconds to get into the end zone.

The Bills defense has suffocated the Jets offense led by Josh McCown. Buffalo allowed the Jets to gain only one yard in the first quarter.

Scoring Summary:

  • 7-0 BILLS - Bills touchdown - LeSean McCoy 28 yard touchdown run (extra point is good)
    • Drive info: 2 plays, 75 yards, 0:49
  • 14-0 BILLS - Bills touchdown - Jason Croom recovered fumble for a touchdown (extra point is good)
    • Drive info: 14 plays, 73 yards, 7:17
