Hyde says the Bills now know how to contain Lamar Jackson

December 09, 2019 - 3:36 pm

The Bills are now 9-4 following their loss to the Baltimore Ravens, who many consider to be the best team in the NFL. The Buffalo defense played tremendous against Baltimore's #1 ranked offense. Furthering the talk about the Bills being one of the best defenses in football.

Bills safety Micah Hyde, who's obviously apart of that defense, joins Schopp & the Bulldog as part of Buffalo Bills Football Monday, every Monday at four o'clock. Here's some of Micah's thoughts during his visit with the guys.

On preparing for the Ravens:

"I probably watched more film leading up to this game than any ever. The good thing is we limited Lamar on big plays. We limited him to a few 7-yd runs, but not much more. They keep it simple for Jackson."

On Cole Beasley drawing pass interference on the final drive:

"If I was a DB, I'd for sure say something. Going against Gronk a few times, he's a push-off guy. One time in NE it got called, Brady was yelling, I was like 'c'mon guys this is ridiculous'... The good WRs in the league know how to draw pass interference. They'll draw you in & wrap their hands around to make it look like they're going for the ball."

On Baltimore blitzing Josh Allen all day:

"It makes it tougher on corners, but it also makes it easier because you know the ball is coming out right away... They were comfortable with the matchups. That's why you saw them do that."

On playing Pittsburgh on Sunday Night Football:

"Anytime you get into a primetime slot, that means you're doing well. Huge game for us & them... December football. Sunday night. That's what you dream about. We had the same situation vs. DEN, a guy that didn't have too many starts. They've been winning, have to give (Develin Hodges) credit for that."
