Hyde: 'We have backups on defense that could be starters'

Bills safety Micah Hyde will be joining Schopp & the Bulldog regularly at four o'clock on Buffalo Bills Football Monday! This Monday was Micah's first visit with the guys after the comeback victory over the New York Jets.

Here is some of the best that Hyde had to say:

On not allowing any big plays

"We didn't want to give up big plays... We were going to let them nickel & dime us. That's why Crowder had 14 catches for under 100 yards. We know they had guys like Robby Anderson that could take the top off, Bell who could run the rock. We knew their weapons."

On the defense this season versus past seasons:

"We have more depth this year. We have backups that could be starters. Going into the season a lot of people were talking about us not getting pressure on the quarterback. We can't give these guys the looks that we're running. Disguising everything gave our d-line a better shot to get there."

On Tre'Davious White not getting recognition:

"Tre'Davious' game is at the next level. Not throwing at him is going to be the story of the season... I don't recall them throwing at him yesterday. If you have a good football team, you make the playoffs, that's when you get 6 or 7 Pro Bowlers."

On filling in for Andre Roberts at returner:

"You have to really practice it... If you can catch punts in an NFL game, you can do anything."
