It was Brooks Koepka who took home the Wanamaker Trophy at the 100th PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri, but it was Tiger Woods who stole the show.

Koepka finished the final golf major of the 2018 season with a 16-under overall score to capture his second major victory of the year, and third major victory in two years. The 28-year-old shot a final round 66 to hold off a surging Woods, who shot a final round 64 to try and win his first major since 2008.

After tying a tournament record on Friday with a second round 63, Koepka managed to shoot a combined eight-under par in the final 36 holes to get to the top of the leaderboard and remain there through Sunday. Koepka captured the win at the 2018 U.S. Open earlier this year at Shinnecock Hills Golf Course in Southampton, New York, and also won last year's U.S. Open at Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, Wisconsin.

As for Woods, he finished the PGA Championship by shooting his lowest final round in a major, and his 266 overall total was the lowest score he's ever had in a major. The 42-year-old now ranks 26th in the world, and could very well find himself on the United States roster for the 2018 Ryder Cup in Paris.

Australia's Adam Scott finished third with a 13-under overall score after shooting a final round 67. Scott just came short of winning his second career major, with his only other major golf win coming at the 2013 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.

Here is how the rest of the leaderboard looked:

2.) Tiger Woods (-14)
