A difficult one-goal loss in Nashville sent the Buffalo Sabres to their third straight loss, all after reeling off 10 wins in a row. Sam Reinhart scored the lone goal for the blue and gold. It's a quick turnaround for Buffalo, as they come home tonight and immediately begin preparations for a home tilt with the Toronto Maple Leafs tomorrow night at KeyBank Center,

Let's go inside the locker room to hear from Reinhart, Carter Hutton, Patrik Berglund and Phil Housley following the 2-1 loss.

Sam Reinhart:

On the powerplay struggles: "Seems like we've been having trouble for a little bit here. We gotta figure that out and get back to what gave us success earlier in that part of it. I think we need more at the net."

Nashville bore down: "It was kind of a back-and-forth game. Later, you saw their experience how they kind of shut everything down and made it hard for us to get pucks in behind them.

Carter Hutton:

On the game-winning goal: "It hit [Casey] Nelson and re-directed, hit the ice and went back blocker side. Just a bad bounce.

On Nashville's stoutness: "I didn't think they gave up much the whole game, truthfully. I thought our powerplay couldn't get much going. It is what it is. Just don't think we generated enough."

Patrik Berglund:

On his missed opportunity late: "I missed the net. I fanned on the puck so I didn't get any heat on it whatsoever. Clear miss by me."

Special teams are key: "To win games, special teams is definitely important especially in a one-goal game. Creates a lot of momentum. Something we have to be better at walking into next game."

Phil Housley:

Nashville shut it down: "Once they got the one-goal lead, from about the 15-minute mark of the third period they just built that wall up. We had opportunities to chip pucks by it, but we chose to stick-handle and that's one of the reasons they're so good. They're tough to play against. We had some plans in place but we didn't execute them."

What the Preds force you to do: "They're a very good checking team. When you're in the position we were in, you just have to start chipping pucks to try and loosen it up."
