McCoy vows to play Sunday; Rodgers misses practice for Packers

Buffalo Bills' running back LeSean McCoy was limited at practice Wednesday, but vowed he will play against the Green Bay Packers this Sunday.

“I feel good. I feel good,” the running back said after a practice in which he wore a red non-contact jersey.  “Today was the first day I really ran hard. Cutting was a minor little setback, but other than that I felt good, I felt fast, I felt rested, so I am excited.”

McCoy missed the team’s 27-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings Sunday after ripping cartilage in his ribs the week before in a home game against the Los Angeles Chargers.  “I am playing,” he said about Sunday.  “Like I said, I felt good today.  (There is) still some pain but I’ll be alright.  I can deal with that during the game.”

McCoy was one of several Bills who were limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Meanwhile, the Packers are dealing with several injured players of their own, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who sat out practice with a sore knee he’s still dealing with after injuring it week one.  Rodgers has sat out very practice except Saturday the last two weeks, and their head coach Mike McCarthy said it’s been a tough situation to deal with.

“It's obvious when QB doesn't practice it affects you,” McCarthy said, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.  “When you feel the QB on the field it's huge. His presence, cadence, it's huge. He's clearly the guy who stirs the drink on Hinkle Field when we're practicing.”

Tight end Jimmy Graham (knee) showed up on Green Bay’s injury report Wednesday, which was apparently unexpected.  Linebacker Nick Perry is still in concussion protocol and defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson is out for the season after a severe ankle injury.  Here is the Packers’ Wednesday report:
