Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced this morning that 12-year NFL veteran Derek Anderson would be starting under center this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.  Anderson was signed to the team just over a week ago, and was brought in to serve more as a mentor to the young quarterbacks in the room. Now, with Josh Allen's elbow injury, the 35-year-old will be thrust right into Lucas Oil Stadium to lead the offense just four days from now.

McDermott also provided an update on the aforementioned Allen and his elbow injury that forced him out of last weekend's loss to the Houston Texans.  McDermott said that Allen has been diagnosed with an elbow sprain and is out for this week, but has avoided surgery.  Initial reports pointed to a potential UCL injury, but that seems to be null at this moment.

Kick-off this weekend for Anderson and the Buffalo Bills is set for 1:00 p.m.
