REPORT: Sabres Sign Baptiste to 1-Year Deal

The Buffalo Sabres have reportedly signed forward Nicholas Baptiste to a 1-year contract. The 22-year old’s deal is reportedly a 2-way contract with $788,000.

Baptiste was one of six restricted free agent players qualified by the team back on June 25th. Forwards Justin Bailey, Sean Malone, Danny O’Regan, Sam Reinhart and C.J. Smith were also qualified by the Sabres.  Malone signed a 1-year deal earlier this week.

The Sabres 2013 third round pick played 33 games with the team last season, netting 4 goals and 6 points, while collecting 18 points in 36 games with the Rochester Americans.
