Sabres and Stars scoreless after twenty minutes

October 14, 2019 - 3:43 pm

The Sabres are looking to continue their hot start to the season with a Columbus Day matinee against the Dallas Stars. With a win the Sabres would be 5-0-1 heading into their west coast trip this week.

Carter Hutton gets the start for the Sabres, while Ben Bishop goes for Dallas. Bishop has had great career success against the Sabres, with just one loss in 13 games.

The Sabres had a good start to the game, spending much of the first period in the offensive end. Both teams however struggled to generate shots. Neither team had a single shot on goal for almost a 10-minute stretch in the first.
