Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - Tuesday on MSG, the Sabres are bringing back another classic game. The Sabres play Hartford in their last game at the Memorial Auditorium. The game was played on April 14, 1996, so I thought I’d look back at who did well in that building, as well as in the new arena.

Gil Perreault played the most games at the Aud at 590, followed by Craig Ramsay at 536.

It’s astonishing to me that the best Sabres defenseman of all-time, Mike Ramsey, doesn’t have his No. 5 retired by the Sabres. Ramsey is third in games played at the Aud at 456.

Rounding out the top-10 are:

4.) Bill Hajt - 424
5.) Don Luce - 387
6.) Dave Andreychuk - 386
7.) Rick Martin - 340
8.) Ric Seiling - 334
9.) Mike Foligno - 327
10.) Phil Housley - 307

It only stands to reason that Perreault leads in goals with 262.

The rest of the top-10 Aud goal scorers are:

2.) Rick Martin - 211
3.) Dave Andreychuk - 192
4.) Mike Foligno - 150
5.) Danny Gare - 149
6.) Craig Ramsay - 139
7.) Rene Robert - 132
8.) Don Luce - 131
9.) Alex Mogilny - 120
10.) Ric Seiling - 99

Moving on to assists, Perreault had 457. That’s more than 200 more assists than Ramsay had at 247.

The rest of the list is:

3.) Dave Andreychuk - 240
4.) Phil Housley - 225
5.) Rene Robert - 194
6.) Rick Martin - 188
7.) Don Luce - 179
8.) Dale Hawerchuk - 147
9.) Mike Ramsey - 144
10.) Mike Foligno - 143

Perreault notched 719 points in just 590 games at the Aud. Andreychuk was second at 432 points in 386 games.

The rest of the top-10 in points are:

3.) Rick Martin - 399
4.) Craig Ramsay - 386
5.) Rene Robert - 326
6.) Phil Housley - 321
7.) Don Luce - 310
8.) Mike Foligno - 293
9.) Danny Gare - 274
10.) Alex Mogilny - 248

One category Perreault didn’t lead in was power play goals. Perreault had 77 goals with the extra man in his Aud career, while Andreychuk netted 87.

Ramsay and Luce dominated at the penalty kill and could add some offense. Ramsay is No. 1 in Aud shorthanded goals with 17. Luce had 11 and Wayne Presley had 9.

I think you can all guess who the all-time penalty minute leader is at the Aud. Rob Ray had 938 minutes in the sin-bin, which was far and away ahead of the No. 2 guy Foligno at 609 minutes.

Rounding out the top-10 is:

3.) Brad May - 590
4.) Larry Playfair - 584
5.) Lindy Ruff - 523
6.) Jerry Korab - 499
7.) Jim Schoenfeld - 491
8.) Mike Ramsey - 437
9.) Danny Gare - 397
10.) Mike Hartman - 368

Briere would be the all-time leader in the new arena in points per-game with 1.04. Eichel is second at 1.02.

Vanek had 60 power play goals, which is almost double that of Satan at 37. Peca had nine shorthanded goals, while Pominville and Satan had 8.

Ray is the penalty leader in both arenas. In the new one, he had 798 minutes.
