Tyler Dunne: I don't think the playoffs are a realistic bar

July 24, 2018 - 5:13 pm

Bleacher Report's Tyler Dunne joined Schopp and the Bulldog to talk about the Bills prior to training camp. The Bills players report to St. John Fisher on Wednesday, and will be on the field Thursday. Dunne spoke on the teams expectations for this season and what he believes will be done with rookie quarterback Josh Allen! Here's some of the best of his time with the guys.

On seeing Josh Allen play:

"At some point, I think that you have to play Josh Allen, you have to see what you have, and you're going to be tempted to."

On this upcoming Bills season, as well as their future:

"I don't really think the playoffs are a realistic bar for the team, the defense may be better in some spots, but who knows what happens with LeSean McCoy, but I think it's a good thing they are thinking long term."

On why Allen's performance this year isn't do or die:

"If a quarterbacks development is stunted by getting sacked six times a game, and going 0-7 as a starter, he's probably not your guy."

On why the Bills won't make the playoffs:

"The Bills had some pretty good luck, I just can't see them getting the break they did last year, this year."
