Batavia, NY (WGR 550) - If there's anyone who should know what leadership on a football team looks like, it's Kyle Williams. The former Bills defensive tackle was the unquestioned leader of the Bills on and off the field throughout most of his 13 years with the team.

Williams retired after this past season. He had one full NFL season to watch and get to know quarterback Josh Allen. On Monday, speaking at the Jim Kelly Celebrity Golf Classic, Williams was asked what "stuck out" to him about Allen over that time. His answer was two-fold, and reflected what he saw from the then-rookie quarterback both on and off the field. Here's what he said:

"I think two things. No. 1, and it's one thing that everybody has seen, is just how talented he is, physically. Just the God-given gifts he has with his arm, his mobility for a guy his size. The tangible things that you can measure are through the roof. The second things is, and you wouldn't see it unless you spent time with him, is how he's a connector of men and people. He can bring people together. People tend to gravitate to him. That is an encouraging thing for the organization, and for guys that are going to come to Buffalo and they're going to come and play in this city and this organization, is to have that guy, the bell-cow, the quarterback, be that type of guy. You would only see that if you were able to get an intimate look and spend time with him. And be in the locker room with him. See how he interacts with guys. I'm excited about him. I think the sky's the limit and I really can't wait to watch him progress."
